    IUD Insertion / Removal

I've been a patient for several annual exams, initially drawn in by the positive reviews regarding obstetrics. However, my recent visit left me profoundly disappointed. In the past, as the doctor was training someone concurrently, there was always a sense of rapport and genuine care. However, this time was vastly different, there was no student in the room. The doctor rushed in, barely acknowledging my presence, and seemed disinterested as he mechanically went through the motions of the exam. What struck me most was his dismissive attitude towards my concerns. Instead of addressing them with empathy and professionalism, he seemed detached and unconcerned. It was disheartening to leave the office feeling unheard and uncared for, especially with a pressing issue weighing on my mind. While he provided information on an IUD, it felt like regurgitated facts I had found online already. What I needed was personalized guidance and reassurance, which sadly, I didn't receive. As someone who values continuity of care, I had hoped to establish a trusting relationship with this doctor, particularly as I plan for future family expansion. However, this experience has left me reconsidering my choice. While I understand that everyone has off days, the lack of basic professionalism and empathy was disappointing, to say the least. As I seek out a new OBGYN, I hope to find someone who not only possesses the necessary expertise but also prioritizes patient well-being and communication.
